18K yellow gold (750/000) pocket watch, enameled dial with Roman numeral hour markers and Arabic numeral minute markers, openwork gold hands (one metal restoration), beaded case, cock-shaped movement, chain and fusee, verge escapement; the case back is adorned with a tri-gold medallion depicting doves in a landscape, surrounded by a frieze of pearls. Late 18th century. Attached by a double 18K yellow gold chain (750/000) to a retractable watch key mechanism, in the shape of a key, with a finely chiseled decoration of fruits and flowers and adorned with a cushion-cut amethyst.
