Circle by Alessandro Rosi/Simone Pignone Alphée and Arethuse Oil on canvas 97x110cm, unframed (on stretcher) Old restorations and modern stretcher, canvas in two parts. We find the technique, colors and subjects of the second half of the 17th century and the height of the Florentine Baroque with Francesco Furini's pupils such as Simone Pignone, or inspirations in Alessandro Rosi who uses this palette of blues tending towards violet, with similar wreaths of flowers and tight framing of the composition and characters.
